Engaging DCPS Families and the Community

We deeply value the important role that parents and the community play in DC Public Schools. One of Chancellor Henderson’s highest priorities is to ensure that we become more effective at engaging our families as partners in schools.

Parents and communities are key stakeholders in improving student achievement, ensuring school success and making our school district the best urban school district in the country. This summer (2011), we are realigning our staff and resources to better meet that goal.
